Upscaling: DLSS, FSR or XeSS on Quality
The biggest gain in the game. Use what your card supports, starting with Quality.
- 03
Frame Generation with care
It raises the number on screen but adds latency. In competitive matches, turn it off if your real FPS is acceptable.
- 04
NVIDIA Reflex: On + Boost
On NVIDIA cards it clearly lowers latency.
- 05
Global Illumination and reflections: Low
These are Unreal Engine 5's heaviest settings. Lowering them raises FPS more than anything else.
- 06
Shadows and effects: low to medium
Team fights are full of effects; lowering them reduces drops in fights.
Stutter in the first matches
After installing or updating your graphics driver, the game compiles shaders on first run, causing temporary stutter. Play a match or two against bots first and it usually goes away. Don't keep deleting shader caches; that brings the problem back.
